A short introduction to dental implants and All-on-X at Happy Teeth Springwood — our approach, and what to expect at your consultation.

A solution that lasts

Missing teeth change more than your smile

Eating, speaking and smiling all become harder when teeth are missing or failing — and the effects go deeper than confidence. Without a tooth root, the jawbone beneath begins to shrink away, and your remaining teeth take on extra load, drifting and wearing unevenly as your bite falls out of balance. Because an implant replaces the root itself, it helps preserve the bone, protects your other teeth from that added stress, and creates a stable foundation for a fixed, natural-looking replacement.

Dental implants

For one or several missing teeth. A titanium implant replaces the tooth root and supports a fixed, natural-looking crown or bridge.

  • Single and multiple tooth replacement
  • A fixed alternative to a denture or bridge
  • Designed to look and feel like your own teeth
All-on-X

All-on-X full arch

A full upper or lower set of fixed teeth supported by as few as four implants — a streamlined way to replace a whole arch.

  • A full arch on a small number of implants
  • Often suitable when bone density is reduced
  • A fixed solution, not a removable denture
Explained simply

How a dental implant works

Every case is planned individually, but most implant journeys follow the same four stages.

1

Consult & records

Start with a free consultation to talk through your options and see an implant on a model. From there, a comprehensive exam with x-rays, photos and a 3D CBCT scan maps your jaw precisely.

2

Implant placed

A small titanium implant is gently placed into the jaw, where it acts as the new tooth root. Comfort options are available.

3

Healing & fusing

Over the following weeks the implant bonds with your bone — creating a foundation as stable as a natural root.

4

Your new tooth

A custom crown (or full All-on-X bridge) is attached — matched to your smile so it looks and feels natural.

The All-on-X difference

Instead of one implant per tooth, a full fixed arch is supported by a small number of strategically angled implants — often making treatment possible even where bone has receded, and reducing overall cost and time.

Your journey in four steps

1

Free consultation

A relaxed chat with Dr Suzanna Lee about your options — see exactly what an implant looks like on a model and ask anything. No cost, no obligation.

2

Records & 3D imaging

A comprehensive exam with x-rays and photos (around 40 minutes), plus a CBCT 3D scan at a nearby imaging clinic. Any general dental needs are planned first.

3

Your treatment plan

Our implant dentists review your CBCT and prepare your personalised plan and quote. You return for a second free consultation to walk through it — including MediPay and super options.

4

Placement & aftercare

Once you're happy to proceed, your implant placement is scheduled with our implant team — with aftercare support through healing and beyond.

Good to know

Common questions

Am I a suitable candidate for dental implants?
Many people with missing or damaged teeth are suitable — including those finding dentures uncomfortable, or who have been told implants may be difficult due to reduced bone (where All-on-X may help). The only way to know for certain is a consultation, where your suitability is assessed in person. Your first consultation with us is free.
How do the "from $39 per week" payments work?
Weekly figures are the equivalent weekly cost of treatment financed through a MediPay payment plan — repayments are collected fortnightly — and are subject to MediPay's terms, approval and eligibility criteria. Your exact repayment depends on your treatment plan, deposit and term, and we'll give you the actual numbers in writing before you decide anything.
Can I really use my super to pay for treatment?
Eligible patients may be able to access their superannuation early on compassionate grounds to fund medically necessary dental treatment. Eligibility is decided by the ATO, not by the practice, and we recommend seeking independent financial advice. We're happy to guide you through how the application generally works and provide the clinical documentation required.
Will treatment be painful?
Your comfort is our priority. Treatment is performed with effective local anaesthetic, and we'll discuss comfort options with you so the experience is as relaxed as possible. Most patients are surprised by how manageable implant treatment is, and we support you closely through the healing period.
What's the difference between implants and All-on-X?
A standard implant replaces an individual tooth root and supports a single crown or small bridge. All-on-X replaces an entire upper or lower arch using a small number of strategically placed implants supporting one fixed bridge — often a more efficient option when many teeth are missing or failing.
How long do dental implants last?
With good oral hygiene and regular maintenance, implants are designed as a long-term solution and can last for decades. That's why aftercare support and ongoing maintenance visits are part of how we care for you. Individual results vary.
